Upcoming selection procedures

EPSO is working very hard, together with the EU institutions and bodies it serves, to resume as soon as possible the publication of new competitions in 2024.

In the meantime, following the decision to start running all selection procedures under a full 24 language regime as of 2024 - EPSO selection procedures – towards a full 24 language regime | EU Careers (europa.eu) - EPSO reopened on 1 March 2024, the application period for the competition for Administrators in the field of transport | EU Careers (europa.eu), and did the same for the competition for Nuclear safeguards inspectors | EU Careers (europa.eu)  and for Policy officers in the area of nuclear energy | EU Careers (europa.eu) on 22 March 2024.

The dedicated competition webpages (see links above) have been updated by EPSO according to the amended notices of competition. Existing candidates have also received individual letters explaining in detail what this reopening of the application period means to them.

In view of the above, the application periods for the Economics competition and for the Crisis management, Migration and internal security competition will also be reopened. More concrete information about what this will entail to existing candidates will be communicated to them as soon as confirmed, via their EPSO Account. As usual, once the amended notice of competition is published in the Official Journal of the EU, a dedicated landing page will also be published on EPSO’s website with all the relevant information.

We also invite you to visit our webpage on Contract Staff (CAST Permanent) selection procedures to learn about upcoming testing dates. Please note that the full 24-language regime does not apply to CAST selection procedures the same way it applies to open competitions where candidates choose ‘Language 1’ and ‘Language 2’ for their tests. Under CAST, candidates could always choose to sit the verbal and numerical tests in any of the 24 EU official languages. In this case, only one language among the 24 EU official languages may be chosen for those tests.

You may also wish to visit our webpage Job vacancies where you can consult a selection of EU job opportunities.

You can learn more about EPSO’s simpler, leaner and more accessible competition model on our website.

EPSO will communicate about the rest of the 2024 competition planning as soon as possible.
