Message from the EU Commissioner for Budget and Human Resources, Günther H. Oettinger

oettinger.jpg Media Folder: ad5_2017 Dear all Today we have launched our new recruitment competition for talented graduates – and I would be very happy to see highly competent and motivated young people from across the European Union apply. It is a unique opportunity, as it is the first general graduate competition to be launched for two years. If you have just graduated – in any discipline - or will have done so by 31st July 2017, this could be the right opportunity for you! With over 120 new roles to be filled across all areas of work, we are looking for highly motivated and dynamic individuals to help shape the future of the European Union! If you are looking to work in an international, multilingual and exciting environment where the work you do will contribute to making a real difference to the Europe of tomorrow, then this is the place for you! For the very first time, you will not only be able to sit the first round of tests in all 24 official languages of the European Union, but for subsequent stages of the competition and based on the languages declared by the candidates when they apply, you will also be able to choose from 5 rather than only 3 languages - as was the case in the past. Of course, you have to show that you are able and eager to work for the EU in a multi-cultural environment and know 2 EU languages. The registration is open until 03/05/2017. Speaking for myself, as EU Commissioner for Budget & HR, coming from one of the German Länder where I have worked as Prime Minister, I can only say that working in an international environment is an experience in itself and is exceptionally rewarding - I have never regretted...
