For multiple-choice question (MCQ) tests (including the e-tray tests), candidates don't need a keyboard.
For the case study and the written test in the field, you will be allocated by default a keyboard corresponding to your second language. In the invitation letter, you will be requested to check and – if necessary - change your keyboard option.
If you select a keyboard other than your default one, some keyboard shortcuts for accented/special characters might not be available. You can see the most common special characters, which are supported by the test environment and can be typed by using Alt in conjunction with the numerical keyboard. This list is also available on request at test centres.
For the translation tests, you will be allocated by default a keyboard corresponding to your first language (language of the competition). There is no option to request an alternative keyboard. In the case of national variations of the keyboard layout (BG, FR, NL) you will have the possibility to select your preferred keyboard layout option. Further information will be given in the invitation letter.
You should choose your keyboard with great care and attention, taking into account the language of your test. Once chosen, no changes can be made, even within the deadline.
For tests which require the use of a keyboard, please ensure before starting the test that you have been allocated the correct keyboard.
