The choice of languages you make in your application form will determine in which languages you will take the different stages of the competition or selection procedure, and in which language you must fill in your application form.
For more information about the languages offered for your selection procedure, and the required level of knowledge, please refer to the Notice of Competition or Call for expression of interest.
You may choose any of the languages offered, but please keep in mind that the Selection Board and the recruiting services work in a limited number of vehicular languages (the most common shared official EU languages) and you are therefore encouraged to submit your application form in one of these languages to facilitate the selection procedure and/ or recruitment at later stage.
If you are successful in the selection procedure and if you used another language to fill in the application form at the time of application, you will be asked to provide a translation of your application form in one of the vehicular languages.
Selection board members and recruiting services draw on existing staff of the EU Institutions. As a reference, please find below the languages of which current staff have declared knowledge:
