Police informed us of possible unauthorised protest actions in Brussels on 14-15-16 December, including gatherings of the 'Gilets jaunes' on Saturday and gatherings on Sunday in connection with the Marrakesh UN forum migration pact.
Traffic disruptions and other disturbances of public order may occur in the European Quarter, along the small ring ('petite ceinture') and in the city centre. Such disturbances are considered possible primarily on Saturday and Sunday, but their occurrence already on Friday is not excluded.
Police recommends avoiding these areas from early morning Saturday to Sunday evening. A security perimeter around the European quarter will be activated by Police as of early Saturday until late Sunday.
Unannounced suspension of metro service, vehicle traffic, bus transportation, closure of tunnels, and interdiction of access to buildings and/or garages may occur at any moment throughout the period, depending on security developments.
