Court of Justice

Based in Luxembourg, the Court of Justice interprets EU law to make sure it is applied in the same way in all EU countries, and settles legal disputes between national governments and EU institutions. It can also, in certain circumstances, be used by individuals, companies or organisations to take action against an EU institution, if they feel it has infringed their rights.

The vast majority of staff in the Court's services are recruited from the reserve lists of open competitions published on this website. However, in certain circumstances, the Court may use temporary staff or contract staff for auxiliary tasks. This applies to all institutions.
