(EESC) European Economic and Social Committee

Based in Brussels, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is an EU advisory body comprising representatives of workers' and employers' organisations and other interest groups. It issues opinions on EU issues to the European Commission, the Council of the EU and the European Parliament.

The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) generally recruits staff through open competitions or selections. These are organised at inter-institutional level by the European Personnel Selection Office. Sometimes the EESC employs non-permanent staff, under the contract or temporary agent scheme. This applies to all institutions.
