European Parliament’s Positive Action for Persons with Disabilities

Every year in the first three months, the European Parliament runs a positive action selection procedure specifically for people with disabilities to gain a first working experience at the EP. The procedure is open to all profiles and backgrounds for people with a long-term disability equal or greater than 20%.

When the selection procedure opens, apply by sending your application to following the instructions and using the procedure available.

Council’s Positive action programme for trainees with a disability


Paid traineeship at the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union in different domains reserved for trainees with a disability. This programme guarantees 4-6 paid traineeships a year to EU nationals with a recognised disability. Candidates must have a university degree or be third year students (or equivalent) of a higher education establishment. 


Traineeships take place in two periods, each lasting five months:
1 February to 30 June (first period)
1 September to 31 January (second period)
